14 bird species seen. At Llangorse common there was a blue, coal tit, robin and a pair of wrens. A walk from the café to the bird hide and back - numerous goldfinches, pied wagtails, robin, G S woodpecker, 4 meadow pipits, 2 reed buntings, cormorant flying over, 4 buzzards, 1 red kite, 5 distant lapwings seen from bird hide flying together then dispersing away to the east and best sighting of the day a Hobby ( 2:40 p.m ) in a field to the north of Tymawr Farm along the edge of the lake hunting hirundines ( swallows and house martins ) - it circled overhead then flew across the treeline and out of sight ( my 1st Hobby ) - special.

Also 200 Jackdaw gleaning, 12 Long-tailed Tits and 2 Chiffchaff calling. Not much of a summer blogger but highlights from garden (Glasbury) include regular views of Hobby (esp July & Aug), 2 prs Spotted Flycatcher with 5 & 3 young also frequently heard the strange sound of 'warbling' Tawny Owl.
