At dusk tonight from the hide; 50,000+ Starlings settled in the reeds in front of the hide. Duck were quite jumpy as a sub-adult Otter swam through them from out of the western reedbeds. Before they got up, amongst the usuals, I did find a female Scaup, 8 Pochard, 2m/4f Pintail, 15+ Shoveler, 38 Goldeneye, 20+ Goosander, single GW and Little Egrets. Good numbers of Gulls into the roost as well but the light was terrible; some Common and Herring Gulls amongst them
