Entry added by: Mark Waldron & Andrew King on Sat 15th December 18, 03:24pm Sighting location: Llangorse Lake. Sighting date: 15/12/18
A couple of hours in vile conditions at the lake was rewarded with an adult Little Gull that was feeding in the middle of the lake (looking through past annual county records this is the first December record, and only the second 'mid-winter' records with a 1st-w at Scethrog on 17/1/93). 3 Scaup (2m1f) were in front of the hide along with 12-15 Pochard (10-12m3f). 1 GW and 2 Little Egret and a party of 15+ LT Tit were the other highlights.

Entry added by: Alan Salter on Wed 12th December 18, 10:12pm Sighting location: beacons Reservoir. Sighting date: 12/12/18
Drove past Beacons Reservoir today and probably the 2 geese seen on Sunday 9th Dec are I believe hybrids showing the size and large orange beak of a greylag but with the white facial patches of white fronted.[Off-line, others have confirmed these geese arrived back in the summer - whether by flight or in the back of a vehicle is questionable. Probable Swan Goose x Greylag, farmyard-type (not wild). VAK]
