Sighting location: Brecon / Llaneglwys. Sighting date: 16/02/19
A walk along the banks of the Usk at Island fields today produced few species. A single Kingfisher and Dipper and nothing else of note. No evidence of Lesser Pecker activity, drumming or singing.
Later at Llaneglwys woods an impressive flock of 100+ Siskin and also around twenty five Crossbill in loose groups of four or five.
At home at least thirty Siskin visiting the feeders most days.
Yesterday I thought I heard a distant Lesser Pecker singing briefly on the 'Bottom Road' in Cathedine, (Andrew).
