Seventeen Blue Tits streamed in yesterday morning and picked all over the house and garden like bargain-hunters on the first day of the sales.

Little Egret on Usk below Brecon STW. Other birds in WeBS count from Brynich to Brecon and Canal included 4 Herons, 2 Goosanders and 124 Mallard.

Two Hobbies hawking dragonflies at Ty Mawr, Great Egret on far shore, two Yellow Wagtails with about 50 Pied on and around the Common

almost certain sighting of marsh harrierwhilst sailing .lightish head and stripe on each wing erratic flight over reed bed

Two Hobbies hawking insects near the hide at the lake today. Also another Marsh Harrier, (Juv), no wing tags, so two birds frequenting the lake now. A few hand-held record shots with the Sigma 'C' in the gallery.

Sad sight of a dead female Goshawk along the A470. A couple of photo's in the gallery. Remarkable just how big and powerful these birds really are up close.
