Jack Snipe repeatedly flushed in boggy field near Beulah. First I've seen here. Single Snipe flushed regularly from same field over last couple of weeks. Also Brambling visiting ground feeding station in garden (Oct 29).

Walk this evening 1900 - 2000 : heard maybe 40 "seepings" overhead as Redwing flying up (or down) Usk Valley.

1 Crossbill over Bronllys, good numbers of Redwing Fieldfare and Starling around the village

52 species recorded at the lake this morning but it felt very flat and quiet. Best were 2 GW and 1 Little Egret, 3 Cetti's, 3 Water Rail, 2 Snipe, 10 Meadow Pipit in the pony field, 2 Stonechat by the hide, 7-9 Red Kite, a Sparrowhawk, single Common and Herring Gull in with hundreds of BH and LBB and a Barn Owl pellet found under the old oaks.

Woodcock and Marsh Tit in woodland today.

About 30 yellowhammer in field opposite entrance to the Gilfach llangorse rope and riding centre on Glastir land.

Shortly after sunrise this morning a Willow Tit calling at edge of forest track about 300m south east of Pont ar Wysg car park. An hour or so later a Willow Tit calling from the enclosure across the road from the car park (same location as on 17th October).

Over a 10 minute period around 8am this morning, I noted 2100 Woodpigeons flying south high over Llangasty, Chaffinches moving west, Skylarks moving east, and a few redwings flying north! All appeared to be over by 09.15 when I looked again.
