37 Teal present this morning and one Snipe. A Woodcock flew over late yesterday evening.

two hobbies (juveniles?), hunting over reedbeds and copse, perching in willow in reed beds.

Ring Ousels; still present there with family of 4 in Rowan, and another prob family further along crags. A patient hour passed before the first scolding alarms heard from both groups at a passing raptor, then another half-hour before seen. Also R Kite.

1 Little Ringed Plover, 1 Snipe, 6 Tufted Duck also 282 Coot, 102 Mute Swans + 3/3/3 juv, 9 Cormorant and a Sparrowhawk

Excellent view of Hobby taking dragonflies over the reeds i/f of hide tonight. Also 170 Goldfinch and good number of Chiffchaff. No Acros.

Pair of Wigeon put up by fishing boat -first returning birds this autumn/winter. Also Kingfisher past hide.

13 Linnet, 3 Goldfinch, 2 Meadow Pipit, 13 Coots + 5 juv, 7 Moorhen + 3 juv, 1 Tufted Duck, 2 Mallard, 12 Pied Wagtail, 45 Swallows, 35 Starlings

At least 16 Ravens in flight, also 3 Red Kites,2 Peregrines and several Buzzards, After some deliberation very light -partially white bird was juvenile Buzzard. Has any Ring Ouzel been seen in this area recently ?
