Male Cuckoo

House Martins at regular site above Cwmdu, Cuckoo calling from hill, pair of Curlews displaying in valley towards Tretower.

Very bad forest fire from the Beaufort/Crickhowell road all the way up to the stone bridge leading to the top reservoir.Must be half term :0(. Amongst the regulars was two White Wagtail up the top reservoir.

Heard my first wood warbler of the year on Taff Trail near Talybont Reservoir

Pied flycatcher by nest hole. The female was going back and forth with food while the male drove away any birds coming near the tree.

Yesterday had my first Grasshopper warbler of the year up at Dinas. The number of Tree Pipits had risen overnight to 6 singing males. Today i heard my first Wood warbler of the year, near the Court.

Cuckoos singing at Pen Fedw (Beulah) and Pwll Bo. Male Pied Flycatcher close to nest box in garden (nr Beulah).
