Later, a single House Martin returned to eaves by the lychgate, and one Swallow further up the lane. Dipper feeding young in the nest at Millbrook.

I have never seen so many Common Redstart. 9 males on a walk from Llanwrthwl to the cattle grid at Penrhos (1 mile up hill!). 6 of these were within 100m of the cattlegrid. At one point there were 4 scrapping in the same silver birch. All of these birds are a few days earlier than usual. Earlier a Linnet by the village was unusual.
