10+ House Martins feeding with Swallows & Sand Martins .

Migrants - 7 singing Chiffchaff, 1 Willow Warbler, 13 Sand Martin, 1 Swallow. Other highlights - 1 Kingfisher, 5 Grey Wag (1f + 2P), 3 Goldcrest, 2m Bullfinch and 1 Cormorant. Also a Peacock butterfly.

A Yellow-legged Gull with a Lesser Black-back flew in from South at 2.10, stood for ten minutes among Black-headed Gulls, c.120, and left northwards. Also 5 pairs Mallard, 11 Coots, 2 Moorhens and a Curlew pair.

15 Fieldfares on edge of Pennorth, a Swallow on wires. In bare field at Pennorth turn from main road, 6 Buzzards, 4 Herons, 10 Skylarks, 2 Stock Doves, presumably feeding on whatever had been in two white plastic buckets.

A pair of Scaup, one Black-tailed Godwit, 3 Redshanks, 2 Little Ringed Plovers, 1 Dunlin, 2 Snipe, 10 Lapwings, 2 White Wagtails; rough count of 700 Sand Martins (but all gone by 12.00).

6+ House Martins with a few Swallows over the village.Sparrowhawk (f) in the garden left hungry. Female Kestrel, Reed Bunting and a male Yellowhammer at Penrhos - the latter at a new location for this species.

Migrants: 1 Willow Warbler, 2 Chiffchaff singing, 2 Swallow and 5 Sand Martin. Also pair of Stock Dove, 3 Goosander, 1 Little Grebe and a Sparrowhawk. Mallard with a brood of 3 ducklings.
