Could not see godwit, Whimbrels or shanks at Llangasty. c180 Black-headed Gulls at Brechfa - a bit crowded - and 3 Lapwings over fields. On Llangoed Common a smart Whinchat with a party of 6 Wheatears

Suprised to encounter a noisy flock of 200-300 Goldfinch passing through larch at Garth Bank. Also single singing Wood Warbler. Small flocks of Siskin. Numerous Willow Warbler, Chiff Chaff.

Cuckoos calling at Pen Y Fedw (Beulah) and Crychan. Also at Crychan (Finger Post), pair of Willow Tits, at least 12 singing Willow Warbler, single Garden Warbler.

Amongst the regulars were two Greenland Race Wheatear and a male Stonechat having a territorial dispute with a male Winchat. Also found was the pluckings of a Peregrine kill.They were the right size and colour for Barn Owl but they had no markings on them (flecks).
