From layby near hide at midday: - - brief but good view of Great-northern Diver in middle of resr. ( it then took off and flew north to the other end of the resr. Also 2 Cormorant, 8 Coot, 4 Heron, 2 Mute Swan, 5 Teal, 8 Mallard, 1M Goldeneye, 7 Tufted Duck and a Sparrow Hawk.

Great Northern Diver still present this a.m.

I had a Snow Bunting calling at Werfa recently but not seen. Also a single Twite south along the Mynydd Llangeinor ridge at SS918925

For anyone with a calorie or two they want to burn off pre Xmas, a Snow Bunting has come through the atlas system, seen on the top of Penyfan on 27th November. Seen by a visiting birder/walker. Another has been similarly reported (at lower altitudes) in inland Carms so there may be a wee movement on the go.

Female Blackcap in Mahonia above Morrison's car park, Dippers under Castle, Watergate and Weir, Heron tagged 'BC' and 3 Goosanders by Prom.

TTV SO 03T, 313 birds of 19 species, chiefly 175 Golden Plovers.

At STW, a Chiffchaff and at least 3 Goldcrests, 103 Pied, 1 Grey Wagtail. A Peregrine circled and a Kingfisher flew up river. Blackcaps in my garden, a female on 11th, male on 14th.

2 Cormorant were below Llanfaes Bridge one of which was colour ringed (see ringing page). Also 2 Dipper, 2 Grey Heron and singles of Goosander, Grey Wagtail, Kingfisher, LBB Gull and a mixed flock of 11 Long Tailed and 30 Blue Tit.

Finch/Bunting numbers starting to build in wildbird crop along the Tir Gofal permitted route. Difficult to assess numbers during a short lunch-break, but - 8 Tree Sparrow showed well, 15 RBunting. 10 YHammer, 35 Linnet, 20 Greenfinch and 120 Chaffinch.
