53 Redwing heading south down the Wye valley this morning.

37 Teal, 1 Tufted, 12 Mallard, 3 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Mute Swan and 18 LBB Gull.

WeBS (BTO/WWT) duck count. Apart from an increase in Tufties, little change from mid-September. Tufted Duck 142, GCGrebe 4, CGeese 244, Coot 156, Moorhen 28, W Rail 4, Cormorant 19, MSwan 102 adult + 12 cygnets, Teal 40, Mallard 140, Shoveler 1fem, Wigeon 1fem (Wayne found the rest of this years arrivals at Talybont Res today), Gadwall 2m1f, 1GBBGull. On drier land, 20 Siskin, 2 singing Cettis and a few Reed Bunting. Foreign ringed BHGull still on railings at car park, Llangasty. Speckled Wood and Red Admiral along the warm edge of T y Mawr Wood.

c12 Wigeon, single Dabchick, 2 Heron, c45 coot and a Goshawk at 0945.

A 3 Dipper territorial dispute at Llangynidr Bridge today at 1000am. Young being ousted? Also a previously unheard clicking sound from one of the birds.

Redwings about Glasfynydd Forest over the last day or 2... flock of 8 this morning.

Talybont gull roost at 18:10 yesterday; Yellow-legged[2], Great Black-backed[1], Lesser Black-backed[850] and Black-headed[14] but gulls still arriving when I left. Also Cormorant roost with37birds.

Green Woodpecker passed through garden. Also a Grey Wagtail on the 7th October.
