Garden Warbler - 1 feeding in birch at Llanwrthwl this morning was the first back. Several Willow warbler and Pied Flycatcher about also.

Common Swift -2 over the village were the first of the year. Very few Swallow about and no House Martins have returned as yet.

Forestry held Siskin, 5 Crossbill, TPipit, Willow Warblers. Clearfells held 3-4 pairs Stonechat,several Wren & a Reed Bunting. Open hill gave reasonable counts of Mipit, Skylark and Wheatear - and Raven, single Swift and plenty of Swallow moving.

Plenty about including Kestrel,Raven,Skylark,Meadow Pipit,Buzzard,Stonechat.Summer migrants seen were Swallow,Willow Warbler,Ring Ouzel,Whinchat and Wheatear.

At least a dozen Sand Martin feeding around the Usk bridge at Crickhowell

Single female pied flycatcher with a group of phylloscopus warblers

Several Swifts around the town, pair of Sandpipers and Kingfisher on Usk at Island Fields, and about 50 Sand Martins.

At 1515 today; Lapwing with 4 very young followers (brief walk and a cuddle), White Wagtail[3], Yellow Wagtail[1], Little Ringed Plover[2], Red Shank[2] plus the dubious duo Pinkfoot & Barny.
