Excellent view of Hobby taking dragonflies over the reeds i/f of hide tonight. Also 170 Goldfinch and good number of Chiffchaff. No Acros.

Pair of Wigeon put up by fishing boat -first returning birds this autumn/winter. Also Kingfisher past hide.

13 Linnet, 3 Goldfinch, 2 Meadow Pipit, 13 Coots + 5 juv, 7 Moorhen + 3 juv, 1 Tufted Duck, 2 Mallard, 12 Pied Wagtail, 45 Swallows, 35 Starlings

At least 16 Ravens in flight, also 3 Red Kites,2 Peregrines and several Buzzards, After some deliberation very light -partially white bird was juvenile Buzzard. Has any Ring Ouzel been seen in this area recently ?

2 Whinchat, several Raven & Buzzard, 4 Red Kite, a Kestrel & Peregrine. Single calling Golden Plover flew over low to north. On Epynt nearby, one thin hedgerow held TPipit(1), Whinchat(1), Stonechat(10), Redstart(1), MPipit(1).

Hobby circled over house at approx. 1235hrs yesterday. It stayed for approx. 3 mins. then flew S.Eastwards over the Epynt.

A weekend camping trip just outside the village produced,willow warbler,buzzard (loads),sparrowhawk,red kite,GS woodpecker,swallows and house martens on the move.On the Wye there were cormorant,kingfisher and mallard.Also a few skiens of 20+ canada geese came over in the evenings.
